The Copy Cat is inspired by Jim Phillips' template from the early 1960s. I started shaping from this outline in 2017, and since then I’ve refined it through a bunch of variations. The current version is the most balanced and exciting longboard in my quiver.
The board features an even, continuous curve with low rocker, giving it the glide and trim of a classic longboard while still feeling lively underfoot. It rides like a big egg—easy to get into waves, smooth through turns, and surprisingly capable of noseriding without the slow or “boggy” feel common in most longboards.
This is an great board for newer longboarders looking for something forgiving and functional, as well as experienced surfers who want a fast, versatile longboard that works in a bunch of conditions.

I don’t recommend going too much larger than this, the board performs best when kept close to these dims.
