The Piute is my step-up that has handled everything ive thrown at it.
I had Ocean Beach, SF in mind while originally designing this model. The rocker is pretty mild through the tail, keeping it fast and drivey. The wide point sits about 2" above center, and the deck is flat with a chimed rail from the wide point up making it a paddling machine.
I’ve taken this board to Black’s, Swamis, Mexico, and Hawaiit—and it handles waves up to about 15+ feet.
I ride a 6'0"-6'10 Piute depending on wave size, and it’s my go-to when the surf gets serious.
